Rahoof khan demand opening of Kendriya Vidyalaya School at Manjakote.

Jammu August 09:– Social Activist Rahoof khan demanded opening of Kendriya Vidhyalya School at Manjakote Tehsil.  Khan said that majority of the employees of this area  in military forces such as Indian Army, Police, Territorial Army and Border security force so it is the genuine demand.
Number of times this issue has been projected before the State Government for establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya School in Manjakote. That  the proposed list of 23 places in Jammu and Kashmir for opening of new Kendriya Vidyalayas as disclosed by the Respected Prinicipal Secretary School Education Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon. The 23 places wherein new Kendraya Vidayalas are going to be setup does not include the name of Manjakote ,

Mr. Khan said  that Manjakote is one of the remote area which situated at adjoining LOC (Line of control)  Also defence area. Manjakote tehsil has with  more than 22,000 students population.
Khan said that in whole Manjakote there is not even a single such prestigious institution as they could not afford education in prestigious private institutions because of economic distress as most of the inhabitants depends on agriculture, rearing animals and labour work for their sustenance.
Education plays a critical role in breaking the vicious cycle of poverty, Education, especially Higher Education, builds capacity in our people. Education is the backbone of the modern society. It has the power to transform human beings into human resources.
Mr khan also said that if the name of manjkote is not included in the list wherein new Kendriya Vidyalaya are proposed to be setup it shall be great injustice with residents of this Tehsil  of Jammu and Kashmir, as such,  strongly appealed to the UT and central government to include the name of Manjkote in the proposed list of 23 places where the Government is going to set up Kendriya Vidyalayas Schools.
