PSC should have a Member from ST Community: Rana

Jammu June 25:– Former MLA Mendhar and Central Secretary Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Javed Ahmed Rana, today lambasted the Union Territory Govt. for not including any member from ST Community in the newly constituted PSC.

In a statement, Former MLA said, the Government should consider the aspirations of all the stakeholders before making such decisions and by excluding ST community from this list, the govt is ignoring a community which has sizeable population in Jammu and Kashmir.

Rana further said until and unless all communities are not properly represented, the commission will not be able to deliver justice to the people.

The Government should consider giving representation to the ST Community, so that it doesn’t feel ignored at all level and also it may not be a reason for conflict of interest at a later level, which is likely to happen.
