PERSON ARRESTED;STOLEN PROPERTY WORTH RUPEES 1.5 LAKH RECOVERED*

Poonch JULY 28 GNS:-Police team of PS Mandi arrested the accused involved in a theft case in the JD of PS Mandi and recovered the stolen property worth rupees Lakhs from his possession.

A theft occured in Mandi and accordingly a FIR viz no. 17/2019 u/s 457/380/RPC was registered and investigation was started.Special team was constituted under the overall supervision of SSP Poonch Ramesh Angral IPS and team swung into action.Consequently,a person was arrested after sustained interrogation, the stolen property viz. 9 Smartphones, one HP Laptop, One voltage Stabilizer, one Solar Panel, One Solar Light and other articles worth Rupees 1.50 Lakhs was recovered from the possession of accused Toiban Ahmed @ Tipu S/O Ghulam Nabi  aged 16 year R/O Dunnugam, A/P Kunda Jallian, Tehsil Mandi of district Poonch.
It is pertinent to mention that the same person happened to be the prime accused in another theft case lodged viz. FIR No 96/2018 U/S 457/380 RPC in the year 2018. During Interrogation of suspect is being carried out as more recoveries cannot be ruled out.
