Opium and cannabis consumption among  is the youth on much higher rate in Poonch

Poonch July 21:-Aijaz Siddiqui youth activist  from Poonch said in a press statement that  adminstration should be taken a strong action against the opium and cannabis peddlers in Poonch which is very dangerous for youth community.

While interacting ,with media Aman dabur talk about the illegal drug trade of opium ,morphine is extracted from the opium latex. and then,its weight is reduced upto 88%.It is then converted into heroin which is 2-4 times as potent and increases the value by similar factors.The reducing the weight  of bulk made easier to smuggled and its the main indegredient of morphine, codeine etc.Which main producers are ,in Burma ,laos ,Pakistan and Afghanistan.It is used in many medicine purposes but it is important to put a regular check on illegal use and legal misuse of this drug he added.

Cannabis is most commonly spreading in the town maximum peoples used it as smoking  cannabis contains tetra hydro cannabinol(THC) which has an adverse effect on the psychological effects on human body.When ingested orally , THC can produce stronger psycotropic effects than when inhaled, when any one exceeds the doses it increses its threshold psycotropicness, users may  adverse side effects such as anxiety ,panic attacks which results in heart rate and changes in blood pressure.

While concluding,Ajaz siddiqui apealed the district  adminstration that if they need the youth support for crackdown on drugs peddlers we will always be their to help our nation fighting against this critical disease  we will be always  to uphold the nation needs.And action should be taken against the smugglers who are involved in drugs trafficking and spreading such kind of drugs in the district.
