Rajouri,June,25:To discuss the strategy and arrangements to be made for achieving a desirable outcome while observing “Kissan Pakhwada from 7th July to 21st July 2020 in the district,the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri,Mohammad Nazir Sheikh on Thursday convened a meeting of the concerned officers here in the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bunglow.
The Deputy Commissioner while speaking during the meeting said that Kisan Pakwada is a unique event celebrated across the country with an objective of reaching out to the farmers community and to acknowledge the contribution of the farmers fraternity to the society and to the economy of the country.He added that Kissan Pakhwada is observed with a view to enhance the flow of advances in the agriculture sector and double the income of farmers by way of their 100 percent involvement in agricultural related welfare schemes like KCC,PM-KISAN,RKVY,NMSA etc.
A threadbare discussion was held during the meeting on various objectives of Kissan Pakhwada including saturation of KCC to 100% farmers,foolproof final list of beneficiaries under PM Kissan,removal of bottlenecks for farmers in obtaining loans against KCC,credit to primary agriculture sector,massive awareness regarding schemes available for farmers,organizing Kissan melas etc.
With regard to the saturation of 100% KCC to farmers,the DC highlighted the need to expedite the hundred per cent coverage of farmers under the KCC scheme so that the farmers are able to get the benefits of credit flow and are able to buy good quality seeds,fertilizers,machinery and equipment to get maximum returns from their landholdings and improve their economic condition.He asked the concerned officers to work in close coordination to achieve the target of 100% coverage of the farmers under KCC within shortest possible time.
Related to full proof final list of the beneficiaries under PM Kisan,he asked the Chief Agriculture Officer to share the list of the all the beneficiaries to the concerned tehsildars so that the genuineness of the beneficiaries can be verified through revenue records and after proper verification,the same can be submitted to the bank authorities for crediting of the benefit into the accounts of the farmers.
With respect to the removal of bottlenecks for the farmers in obtaining loans against KCC,the DC asked the LDM Rajouri to generate massive awareness among the farmers about the benefits of KCC loans in order to get a positive and enthusiastic response from them.
Regarding the awareness campaigns,he directed the concerned officers from Agriculture,Horticulture,Animal Husbandry,Sheep Husbandry,Fisheries and other allied departments and bank authorities to organise special camps at different locations in the district during the programme to aware the farmers about various centric and UT Government schemes meant for the welfare of the farmers.
Additional Deputy Commissioners,Assistant Commissioner Revenue and tehsildars have been directed to ensure the proper monitoring of all the activities to be carried out in the areas of their respective jurisdictions during the programme.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers to make extra efforts to achieve the desired outcomes so that the objectives behind observing the programme in the district are fulfilled.He also directed them to ensure that necessary benefits are provided to the farmers community in a hassle free manner so that their sufferings can be mitigated and they can avail themselves of various schemes meant for their welfare.
The DC also asked the concerned officers to ensure that all the SOPs guidelines are followed while carrying out different activities related to the programme.
