INTERSTATE DRUG PEDDLER ARRESTED700 BOTTLES OF CODEINE PHOSPHATE RECOVERD

Banihal May 26 :-Continuing its war against drugs under the supervision of SSP Ramban Anita sharma banihal police achieved a major success when 700 bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered at T chowk Banihal and an interstate drug smugglers was arrested.

Actingon a specific information during a special naka was laid at T chowk banihal and one valley bound truck comming from new delhi bearing number jk05e.7239 was stopped and put to thorough search ..During search of the cabin of the said truck five bags of codeine phosphate were recoverd ..codine phosphate is a PHYSCOTROPIC drug which is being consumed by the youths of valley..on questioning the driver was identified as Mudassar ahmed s/o Bashir Ahmed Tantray r/o Viter distt Baramulla on counting 700 hundred bottles of codeine phosphate were recovered from five white plastic bags..accordingly case f.i.r no 66/2019 u/s 8 /21 ndps stands registered at ps Banihal. It is pertinent to mention that Banihal police has achieved a major success in war against drugs and so far 15kg charas 25 quintal bhukki 30 kg herione(chitta) have been seized this year so far.The arrest and recovery was effected by insp Aejaz ahmed Wani SHO Banihal under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Sajjad Sarwar and addl SP Sanjay Parhiar .Further investigation is in progress..
