Mandi, November 11:–Today Govt. Degree College Mandi organized an Intra-Colligate Symposium on the eve of “National Education Day’’ and the topic was“ Life and Teachings of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad’’
The objective of the programme was to create awareness among students and their family members about the significance of Education especially in these days of COVID-19 Pandemic.
A total of 15 students spoke on the occasion by maintaining COVID-19 SOPs and through light on the life and teachings of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, the first Education Minister of Independent India.
First Position was secured by Ms Asiya Kouser R.No 01 class sem 3rd where as 2nd and 3rd position were clinched by Ms. Nazia Munir R.No 10 Class B.A 1st sem and Ms. Mehnaz Mushtaq R.No 21 Class B.A 1st sem respectively.
The programme was convened and Co-ordinated by Dr. Aurangzeb Anjum and Dr. Shiraz Ahmed. The Jury members were Dr. Makhan Din Lect. Persian, Dr. Bashrat Ahmed Lect. Arabic and Prof Mohd Alyas Lect. Urdu.
The Principal of the College (Dr. Mohammed Azam) congratulated the winners and participating students and praise the efforts put in by the organizing Committee for organizing this significant and successful function to celebrate the “National Education Day’’ in which the students participated with enthusiasm. He further highlighted the philosophy and contributions of Moulana Azad in promoting Gandhi JI Ideas of Non-Violent Civil disobedience and also promoting Swadeshi (indigenous) products for India.
