MANKOTE, MAY 20:-A heartfelt retirement farewell function was organized at Government Middle School (GMS) Mankote by the Teachers Joint Action Committee (TJAC) to honor the dedicated services of veteran educator Mohammad Younis Khan, who superannuated from the Education Department after serving for several decades as a teacher and Mid-Day Meal Incharge. The occasion also marked the promotion celebration of Amjad Rafiq, who was recently elevated from Junior Assistant to Senior Assistant.
The ceremony was attended by senior officers of the Education Department, office bearers of TJAC, political and social personalities, teachers, local residents and family members of the retiring official. The Deputy Chief Education Officer was the chief guest on the occasion and appreciated the remarkable contribution of Mohammad Younis Khan towards the field of education.
Prominent members of the Teachers Joint Action Committee, including district and UT-level representatives, participated in the event and praised the retiring teacher for his honesty, discipline and unwavering commitment to duty. Teachers from different institutions also joined the gathering and extended warm wishes to him on the completion of his successful service career.
Speakers during the program described Mohammad Younis Khan as a sincere and hardworking teacher who served the department with dedication and played an important role in academic development and effective implementation of the Mid-Day Meal scheme. They said his contribution to student welfare and school administration would always be remembered.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Chief Education Officer said that committed teachers like Mohammad Younis Khan are valuable assets for society, especially in remote and border areas, where education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of young generations.
Political and social activist Sardar Waseem Khan, son of former MLA late Rafiq Khan, also attended the event and paid rich tributes to the retiring official. He highlighted the noble role of teachers in nation-building and appreciated the lifelong dedication shown by Mohammad Younis Khan in educating students with sincerity and responsibility.
The atmosphere turned emotional as colleagues and well-wishers recalled memorable moments from his professional journey and bid him farewell with respect and affection. As a mark of appreciation, the retiring official was presented with gifts, a traditional shawl and turban by teachers, officials and friends.
The gathering also congratulated Amjad Rafiq on his promotion as Senior Assistant and wished him success in his future responsibilities within the department.
Family members and relatives of Mohammad Younis Khan, including several distinguished guests, were also present and expressed gratitude to the organizers for arranging a dignified and memorable farewell function.
The program concluded with prayers for the healthy and peaceful retired life of Mohammad Younis Khan and best wishes for the bright professional future of Amjad Rafiq.
