DC Poonch provides ex gratia relief to cross border shelling victim at Mankote

Poonch,August,09:The Deputy Commissioner Poonch,Rahul Yadav on Saturday paid a visit to Mankote tehsil of district Poonch and provided ex gratia relief to the victim of cross border shelling who got affected during ceasefire violations by Pakistan.

The DDC  was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Angral, SDM Mendhar, Sahil Jandyal, SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Sharma and other officers.  

The Deputy Commissioner provided ex gratia relief of Rs.01 lac and an amount of Rs.10,000 out of Red Cross in favour of the next of the kin of a man named Mohd Sadiq S/O Froza who lost his life during cross border shelling at tehsil Mankote.

The Deputy Commissioner while interacting with the family of the victim sympathized with the family members over the loss and assured that district administration Poonch will make all efforts for providing all possible help to the family to mitigate their sufferings.
