Rajouri,Aug 08 :– Foiling a liquor smuggling bid, police here in Rajouri district arrested a person and recovered twenty five litres of locally prepared liquor.
Police said that a team of Kalakote Police Station headed by SHO Sanjay Raina under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza was on routine patrolling on Kalakote Rajouri road when at Potha naka, a car PB27C 2836 coming from Kalakote was intercepted for routine frisking.
During frisking, police said,
two plastic containers having 25 Litres of illicit liquor (locally prepared) was seized and car driver Bikram Singh son of Joginder Singh resident of Saranoo Rajouri was arrested on the spot.
Police said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Kalakote police station.
