Two smuggling bids foiled, 12 animals rescued

Rajouri,july 15:- Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri foiled two separate bovine smuggling bids wherein smugglers were trying to smuggle bovines by foot.

A team from Kalakote police station headed by SHO Sanjay Raina intercepted a smuggler Mohammad Farid son of Nazir Ahmed resident of Saranoo who was smuggling bovines from Godhar Maal.

Eight bovines were rescued from the possession of smuggler who has been arrested and a case in FIR 59/20 under relevant sections of law has been registered in local police station.

Similarly, Manjakote police station team headed by SHO Pankaj Sharma intercepted a vehicle JK11D 4702 and recovered four bovines being smuggled in it.
Vehicle driver Mohammad Asif son of Mohammad Hussain and smuggler Mohammad Naseer son of Mohammad Altaf were arrested by police team and a case in FIR 117/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Manjakote police station.
