Rajouri,July 07:- Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri have rescued twenty six bovines from the clutches of smugglers while foiling three smuggling bids.
Police said that in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, a Tata Mobile JK12 3831 was intercepted by team of Nowshera police headed by SHO Amit Singh under the supervision of Sub Divisional Police Officer Nowshera Zakir Shaheen Mirza.
Eight bovines were found loaded mercilessly in the vehicle which have been rescued while two smugglers identified as Mohammad Imran son of Mohammad Shabir resident of Rajdhani Thanamandi and Sheraz Ahmed son of Mohammad Latif resident of Khablan Thanamandi have been arrested.
A case under relevant sections of law have been registered in local police station.
Meanwhile police in Thanamandi and Manjakote also foiled two bovine smuggling bids in the respective area and rescued eighteen bovines taking action against smugglers.
These two bids were foiled on Monday evening.
