Banihal,November 23::– Under the community mobilisation enrollment drive by school education department a program was held in Neel Banihal a far-flung area of education zone Banihal in district Ramban.
According to press release on the directions of commissioner sec education BK singh ,director school education Jammu( DSEJ) Dr Ravi Shankar Sharma ( KAS) ,Zonal education officer Banihal AR Giri started the enrollment drive in education zone Banihal from flung area Neel.
During the drive speakers through detailed light on the government schemes implemented in government schools and stressed upon the parents and local people to admit their wards in government schools and take the benefits from these schemes.
They stressed that department is going to cover the dropout rate and it needs the cooperation of parents. They appealed parents to give education to your girl child also.
ZEO AR Giri during the drive said that they have distributed about 90 lacs of rupees for uniform in education zone Banihal, mid day meals is providing to the students , scholarship is given to the students by the government and many more schemes are available in the department. He said that the dropout rate of girls students is more than the male students in the area.
Locals thanked the education officers for organising such kind of drives. DRGS from district Nazir Ahmed itoo, Ab Hameed, Shah Nawaz, and some representatives of teacher also through detailed light on government schemes and stressed parents to admit their wards in government school’s.During the drive 3 female dropout students and 27 fresh students were admitted
A cultural programme was also organised during the drive .
Local PRIS, parents, teachers, students and others was present in the drive function.Locals thanked department for organising such kind of programme in remote areas and also highlighted their problems reheated to education with the officers.
