POONCH, JUNE 11:-The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), Poonch, on Thursday organised a district-wide Rope Skipping Challenge Programme under the Fit India Movement and conducted a series of sports and awareness activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The Rope Skipping Challenge witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 2,660 students and youth across the district. The event was aimed at promoting physical fitness, healthy living and overall well-being among young people.
As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, various sports competitions, fitness activities and awareness programmes were also organised in different zones of the district, attracting around 2,870 participants. The programmes focused on educating youth about the harmful effects of drug abuse and encouraging them to adopt a healthy and disciplined lifestyle.
Participants were sensitised about the importance of making positive life choices and contributing towards building a drug-free and healthy society.
The activities were conducted under the overall supervision of Mohd Qasim, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), Poonch. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Activity Incharge, along with departmental staff, coordinated the events.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports reiterated its commitment to promoting sports culture, fitness and social awareness among youth through such initiatives.
