Jammu,August, 03:- A meeting of Congress Party functionaries presided over by Mr. Ashok Sharma Ex MLA/MLC and AICC Coordinator Vichar Vibhag was held to discuss the suspension of Shri Amar Nath Ji Yatra and Machail Mata yatras. All the participants were of the view that the yatra should not have been stopped because this has badly hurt the religions sentiments of the people of the country. It was urged upon the President of India and Governor of the State to review the decision and issue orders for resumption of yatra immediately by providing additional and effective security cover. The participants observed that this is happening for the first time in the history and in the past Congress Ministers had even resigned for continuing the yatra when it was suspended in between and then on protest it was resumed.
The meeting resolved to convene another meeting within two days to decide future course of action for ensuing restoration of the yatras. The prominent leaders who participated include Ch. Gharu Ram former Minister and Chairman J&K Kissan Congress, Vinod Sharma, Senior Congress leader and former General Secretary, Narinder Gupta Secretary J&K PCC, Hari Om Singh former District and Sessions Judge and Vice President Vichar Vibhag J&K PCC, JB Sharma former Secretary Pradesh Youth Congress and Social Activist, Rajiv Jandyal Ex President Jandyal Bradari, Capt Lalit Sharma, Chairman PCC Vichar Vibhag J&K, Ankush Raina State Secretary Pradesh Youth Congress and Joginder Bhagat District President Rural Jammu, Vichar Vibhag, PCC.
