Woman died due to covid-19, 5 new cases found in the district today.

With one more death due to Covid-19 in Government Medical College & Associated Hospital (GMC&AH), the death tally in the district reached 227 including 172 deaths during the second wave.
With 5 more positive cases found in the district today out of 2214 reports received, the positivity rate in the district comes down to 0.23% while the recovery rate is 97.31%.
A 38 years old woman from Nadian village in Darhal tehsil died in the GMC Rajouri due to Covid-19 today, sources said.
Out of 10969positive cases reported in the district during the second wave, 10674 have recovered and 68 are still active out of which 15 are in home isolation, 31 in Panchyat CCCs isolation & 22 in the hospitals including 4 in Triage.
Despite enforcement teams urging the people to wear face masks, maintain physical distance besides taking Covid vaccination doses at their nearest Covid Vaccination Center, the people violating the Covid-19 SOPs with impunity which leads to an increase in positive cases.
It has been noticed that most of the people roaming in the markets without wearing masks, not maintaining social distancing and no authorised official/officer bother to take action against the violators.
Enforcement teams have collected a fine of worth Rs34,250 from the violators of Covid-19 SOPs from across the district today.
