MENDHAR APRIL 28:- The Teachers Action Committee (TJAC) organized a grand and dignified retirement farewell in honour of ZEO Mankote, Ms. Shaheen Akhter, who is set to retire in the coming days after rendering dedicated and commendable services to the education department. The event witnessed the presence of a large number of teachers and prominent dignitaries, reflecting deep respect and admiration for her contributions.
Among those present on the occasion were Syed Shanawaz Kazmi, UT Spokesperson TJAC; Ch. Mohd Rafiq, Tehsil President TJAC Mankote, who has recently been elevated as Sub-Divisional President; Ch. Abdul Rashid, former Principal; Ch. Lal Hussain, former Chief Education Officer; Ch. Mohd Alyas, Zonal President Mankote; Basharat Habib, General Secretary TJAC; Ch. Haji Nasar Ahmed, Stage Secretary; and Mohd Araf, I/C Headmaster Mankote and Chairman TJAC.
During the programme, all dignitaries addressed the gathering and spoke highly of Ms. Shaheen Akhter’s professional excellence, dedication, and sincere approach towards her duties. Syed Shanawaz Kazmi appreciated her leadership and described her as a committed officer who always upheld the values of the education system.
Ch. Mohd Rafiq, in his address, highlighted her tireless efforts for the welfare of teachers and her role in maintaining unity and discipline within the department. Ch. Lal Hussain and Ch. Abdul Rashid also shared their experiences, praising her integrity, administrative skills, and her ability to handle responsibilities with efficiency and professionalism.
Ch. Mohd Alyas, Basharat Habib, and Ch. Haji Nasar Ahmed appreciated her cooperative nature and her positive approach towards colleagues, stating that she always worked with dedication and maintained a respectful and professional environment. Mohd Araf, while addressing the gathering, termed her tenure as inspiring and said that her contributions will be remembered for years to come.
On the occasion, Ms. Shaheen Akhter was honoured with shawls, garlands, and gifts as a token of love and appreciation from the teaching fraternity. The speakers unanimously expressed both happiness and sadness—happiness on her honourable retirement and sadness over her departure from active service.
In her address, Ms. Shaheen Akhter expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Teachers Action Committee and all her colleagues for organizing such a memorable farewell. She thanked everyone for their cooperation and support throughout her career and extended her best wishes to the teaching community.
The programme concluded on an emotional yet celebratory note, marking the successful completion of her distinguished career and wishing her a healthy and prosperous life ahead.
