All teachers association of Kishtwar have seriously castigated the arbitrary order of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar which has made it mandatory for teaching staff to get the attendance from a local sarpanch and ten parents before the release of their monthly salary .
The order has created uproar and ripples in the teacher community who have come down heavily on such a derogatory and insulting order for the teachers whose integrity and honesty has been put in question mark. All teachers and lecturer bodies have condemned this order and demanded its immediate revocation.
The teacher fraternity called an emergency meeting and passed a unanimous resolution which they submitted to the secretary education through Chief Education Officer Kishtwar. The delegation of teachers met the CEO Kishtwar today and brought to his notice the simmering discontent snd anger within the teacher fraternity after the order of deputy commissioner.
The delegation held a detailed discussion with the CEO Kishtwar and told him that this order has not only insulted the teachers community but has also undermined and nullified the role of controlling officers like CEO , ZEO , Principals and concerned Headmaster.
The delegation also deliberated as to how the order could lead to counter productive repercussions leading to clash of interest between the officers of the department and those of Sarpanch-individual combine.The order could result in litigations and absenteism in the department owing to double control mechanism of teachers which is completely against the CSR and service rules of the government.
The delegation representing all teachers fraternity in one once condemned the order and submitted in the memorandum that they won’t accept this dsrogatory order and take to agitational path until and unless the order is revoked. They said that they will go for mass leave the onus of which will be on the department and the district administration.
The CEO gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured the fraternity to look in to the matter on urgent basis with further submission of memorandum to the state government.
The delegation comprised Ramesh Kumar District President J&K Lecturer Forum J&K, Tanvir Ahmad Malik President ERTU Kishtwar , Satya Bhushan Sharma President All J&K Ladakh teachers Federation, Rajesh Kumar Parihar President JKMF district Unit Kishtwar, Tahir Masood District President JKRETF , Mohd Hafeez President JKRTTF Kishtwar.
