SSP Poonch Reviews Security, Issues Directions for Eid & Navratri Preparedness

POONCH MARCH 19:-A high-level Security and Multi-Agency Coordination (SMAC) meeting was held at the District Police Office (DPO) Poonch on Thursday under the chairmanship of Shafqat Bhat Senior Superintendent of Police Poonch to review the prevailing security scenario and preparedness for upcoming festivals.
The meeting was attended by officers from various security forces and intelligence agencies operating in the district. Officials discussed the overall security situation, with special focus on militancy-related activities and emerging threats.

During the review, SSP Poonch stressed the need for enhanced coordination among all agencies, real-time intelligence sharing, and proactive measures to maintain peace and stability in the region.
Special emphasis was laid on ensuring foolproof security arrangements for the upcoming Eid and Navratri festivals. Authorities were directed to maintain communal harmony and facilitate the smooth and peaceful conduct of all religious events.

The SSP also instructed agencies to keep strict vigil on social media platforms to prevent the spread of misinformation or provocative content that could disturb public order. Measures such as intensified surveillance, area domination, and heightened alertness in sensitive locations were also discussed.

Additionally, directions were issued for effective crowd management, proper traffic regulation, and adequate deployment of security personnel at religious places to ensure public safety and convenience.

Reiterating the importance of joint efforts, SSP Poonch called for seamless coordination among all agencies to counter potential threats and maintain a secure environment during the festive period.

The meeting concluded with all participating agencies reaffirming their commitment to uphold law and order and ensure peace and harmony across the district.
