Mir Thanks Mian Altaf for Raising Thanamandi’s Long-Pending Healthcare Demand

THANAMANDI, SEPT 07: Former President of Municipal Committee Thanamandi and senior Congress leader Shakeel Mir has expressed sincere gratitude to Hon’ble Member of Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad for standing with the people of Thanamandi and raising their long-pending demand for better healthcare facilities.

Mir said the tragic death of Shoket Ahmed Shawl was an “irreparable loss” and that no words or action could compensate for the loss of a precious life. However, he said, the incident has once again highlighted the urgent need to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and services in Thanamandi.

He appreciated Mian Altaf Ahmad for intervening in the matter and raising the demand for upgrading Thanamandi Hospital to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) status, along with adequate doctors, specialist services, medical staff, medicines, diagnostic facilities and modern medical equipment.

Shakeel Mir expressed hope that the intervention would help turn the long-pending demand into reality and provide the people of Thanamandi with reliable and quality healthcare services.

“The people of Thanamandi have been waiting for improved healthcare facilities for a long time. We sincerely hope that this time the demand for SDH status will receive due consideration and be fulfilled,” Mir said.
