Sheikh Aijaz Urges Immediate measure to facilitate the stranded passengers on Srinagar Sonamarg Road

SRINAGAR DEC 27:-Senior Congress Leader and District President Ganderbal Sheikh Aijaz has urged the government immediate measure for rescue of trapped vehicles due to fresh snowfall ladden with locals and tourists near Hung area of Sonamarg. “I feel it is my duty to represent the concerns of the people of this region.

In 2021, I attended a critical meeting at the DC Office in Ganderbal, where the Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor, along with all district officers, discussed various local issues. One of the key concerns was the Z Mode Tunnel” Ejaz stated. He said that during the meeting, authorities assured us that the tunnel would be opened in the winter of that year. Unfortunately, three years have passed, and the people of Ganderbal are still awaiting the completion of this essential project.

He further said that the delay has had a significant impact on the lives of the people and tourists in our region, affecting both their mobility and economic well-being. He said that the lack of progress is concerning, and it is high time that the authorities take immediate action.

He urge LG Manoj Sinha and the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to expedite the opening of the Z Mode Tunnel, as it is crucial for the people of Kashmir. I remain committed to advocating for the well-being of tourists and our communities and ensuring that their needs are addressed without further delay.
