RAJOURI, MARCH 03:- Senior BJP leader Radhish Sharma has urged the administration to conduct the long-pending Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Panchayat elections at the earliest to further strengthen grassroots democracy.
While speaking to the media, Sharma emphasized that timely elections are essential to ensure effective governance and public participation in decision-making processes. He stated that elected representatives at the local level play a crucial role in addressing civic issues and implementing developmental schemes efficiently.
The BJP leader said that holding elections without further delay would empower local institutions and enhance accountability. He added that democratic institutions must remain active and functional to reflect the true spirit of participatory governance.
Sharma appealed to the concerned authorities to take necessary steps to announce the election schedule soon, asserting that strong local bodies are the backbone of a vibrant democracy.
