Scores join National Conference in Mendhar, Reaffirm faith in Javed Ahmed Rana’s leadership

**New entrants say NC is the only political force genuinely working for the welfare and development of Jammu and Kashmir**

MENDHAR, AUGUST 16:- In a significant political development, several prominent BJP workers and local residents joined the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) at Dhaki Bhera, Mendhar, expressing their confidence in the leadership of Cabinet Minister and senior National Conference leader Javed Ahmed Rana.
The joining was marked by the participation of several known BJP workers, including Keser Khan, Shokat Hussain (Kala), Haji Mohammad Maroof Khan, Amir Khan, Master Mohammad Bashir Khan, Sayeed Khan, Azhar Khan, Sajid Khan and Sohail Khan, among others.
The new entrants said their decision to join the National Conference was driven by their faith in the party’s secular and inclusive political philosophy and their appreciation of the development-oriented approach being pursued under the leadership of Javed Ahmed Rana.
They said that Rana’s consistent engagement with people at the grassroots and his focus on addressing issues related to basic infrastructure, water supply, roads, education, healthcare, irrigation and other essential services had strengthened their confidence in his leadership.
The new members appreciated what they described as Rana’s inclusive approach towards all sections of society, stating that his political and public outreach remained focused on ensuring equitable development and addressing people’s genuine concerns without discrimination.
They further expressed confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the National Conference-led government, saying that the government was working towards strengthening grassroots governance, accelerating development and ensuring that the aspirations of people across Jammu and Kashmir are adequately addressed.
They said the development initiatives undertaken by the government have demonstrated that the National Conference is the only political force genuinely committed to the welfare and upliftment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. They appreciated the proactive measures being taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Javed Ahmed Rana to address public concerns, strengthen basic infrastructure and accelerate development across the Union Territory.
Welcoming the new entrants into the party fold, local National Conference leaders said their joining reflected the growing acceptance of the party’s policies and the increasing trust of people in its leadership. They said the induction would further strengthen the party’s organisational base in Mendhar and provide fresh impetus to its grassroots activities.
The newly inducted members pledged to work collectively for strengthening the National Conference at the grassroots level and supporting Javed Ahmed Rana’s efforts towards the overall development and welfare of the people of Mendhar.
