Reshi Congratulates Irfana Zargar for Being Honoured as Young Leader at National Conference

SRINAGAR MARCH 16:-Social-Political Activist and Contested Candidate from 25 Eidgah Constituency, Mohammad Faheem Reshi, who is also Chairman of the Greater Shah-re-Khaas Leadership, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Irfana Zargar for being honoured as a Young Leader at the 53rd Annual National Conference organized by the Country Women’s Association of India in New Delhi.
In a statement, Reshi praised Irfana Zargar, widely known as the “Padwoman of Kashmir,” for her remarkable grassroots efforts in promoting menstrual hygiene awareness and safeguarding women’s dignity. Through her initiative Eva Safety Door, she has spent more than a decade working with women and girls in remote and underserved communities, spreading awareness about menstrual health, breaking social stigma, and ensuring access to essential hygiene products.
Her work includes door-to-door awareness campaigns, installation of menstrual hygiene kits in public facilities, and the free distribution of sanitary pads to underprivileged and orphaned girls. Despite facing social challenges, she has remained steadfast in her commitment to ensuring that women and girls live with dignity, confidence, and access to basic health resources.
Reshi said that Irfana Zargar’s recognition on a national platform reflects the strength of grassroots leadership emerging from Kashmir. He added that her dedication, resilience, and commitment to women’s wellbeing have made the entire region proud.
He further noted that her work, carried forward in the loving memory of her late father, is a powerful example of how personal inspiration can transform into a mission of service and compassion.
Reshi wished Irfana Zargar continued success and expressed hope that her inspiring journey would motivate more young leaders in Jammu & Kashmir to work towards social change, gender equality, and community development.
