RAJOURI MARCH 04:-Senior PDP leader Farooq Inqlabi has strongly expressed concern over the non-payment of salaries to Chowkidars and Numberdars for the last two years. He termed the delay as highly unfortunate and unjust, stating that these grassroots workers play a vital role in maintaining coordination between the administration and the public in rural areas.
Farooq Inqlabi said that Chowkidars and Numberdars serve as an important link in the revenue and administrative system, working tirelessly despite limited resources. Keeping their salaries pending for such a long period has put their families under severe financial distress.
He urged the Divisional Commissioner Jammu to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure the early release of their pending wages. He specifically demanded that the salaries be released before the upcoming Eid festival so that the affected families can celebrate the occasion with dignity and without financial hardship.
He further appealed to the concerned Revenue Department authorities to resolve the issue on priority so that the affected employees receive their rightful dues without any further delay. Farooq Inqlabi emphasized that justice delayed is justice denied and expressed hope that the administration will act swiftly in the interest of these hardworking individuals.
