SRINAGAR , MAY 23:-Senior BJP leader and former J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina on Friday levelled serious allegations of corruption against the government led by Omar Abdullah, claiming that a large-scale “transfer scam” is taking place in various government departments.
While speaking to media persons, Raina alleged that several ministers and senior officials are involved in the alleged corruption related to transfers and postings of government employees. He claimed that officers were allegedly being asked to pay huge sums of money for favourable postings and transfers in different departments.
The former BJP MLA asserted that he possesses “solid evidence” regarding the alleged scam and said that if the government is willing, the BJP is ready to submit documentary proof and also present individuals who were allegedly approached for money in exchange for transfers.
Raina further alleged that some employees and engineers were transferred multiple times within a short period, which, according to him, reflects the existence of an organised “transfer industry” operating within the administration.
He demanded an impartial inquiry into the matter and urged anti-corruption agencies to investigate the allegations thoroughly. Raina also criticised the silence of the government over the issue, stating that public confidence would be affected if no action is taken.
The video of Ravinder Raina’s media interaction has also been uploaded and shared by Greater Kashmir.com and some other media channels on its digital Platforms.
The Jammu and Kashmir government had not issued any official response to the allegations at the time of filing this report.
