Rajouri Police Nab Drug Peddler; Around 10 Grams of Heroin-like Substance Seized in Thanamandi

RAJOURI, APRIL 15:-Continuing its intensified campaign against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, Rajouri Police achieved another success by apprehending a drug peddler in the Thanamandi area.

During routine patrolling and checking, a police team from Police Station Thanamandi intercepted a suspicious individual. Upon identification, he was found to be:

Iraz Khan, son of Surfraz Ahmed, resident of Thanamandi, District Rajouri.

A thorough search led to the recovery of approximately 10 grams of a heroin-like narcotic substance from his possession. The accused was immediately taken into custody, and the recovered contraband was seized following due legal procedures.

In this connection, a case FIR No. 39/2026 has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Thanamandi. Further investigation into the matter is currently in progress.
