Rajouri Police Intensify Anti-Drug Campaign with Awareness Lecture at District Police Lines

RAJOURI, APRIL 27:-Continuing its campaign against drug trafficking, District Police Rajouri on Monday organised an awareness lecture on the ill effects of drug abuse at District Police Lines Rajouri.

The programme was presided over by SSP Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar (IPS), and witnessed participation from officers of J&K Police, as well as officials from the Health and Social Welfare Departments.

Addressing the gathering, SSP Rajouri highlighted the growing menace of drug abuse, particularly among the youth, and its devastating impact on health, families, and society. He stressed the importance of early identification of addiction, timely rehabilitation, and strong community support in tackling the issue.

He urged participants to act as ambassadors of awareness in their respective areas and spread the message against drug abuse. Reaffirming the police department’s commitment, he said that Rajouri Police is adopting a two-pronged strategy—strict legal action against drug peddlers and sustained awareness campaigns to prevent substance abuse.

A large number of police personnel and officials from the Health and Social Welfare Departments attended the programme.
