RAJOURI FEBRUARY 19:-In a significant breakthrough against cross-border terror networks, the District Police Office Rajouri, in a joint operation with the 54 Rashtriya Rifles (Romeo Force), busted a terror module and arrested a terror associate during a swift and well-coordinated operation in Nowshera.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, Rajouri Police and the Army unit apprehended Sachin Kumar alias Pamma, son of Seejay Kumar, resident of Sehar Nowshera. The arrest marks a major success in the ongoing crackdown on terror-linked activities in the border district.
During the search operation, security forces recovered a substantial cache of arms and ammunition from the accused’s possession, including:01 × TISAS ZIGANA 9mm pistol (Made in Turkey) along with 03 magazines
01 × .30 bore TT-30 Norinco pistol (Made in China) along with 01 magazine
15 × 9mm live rounds
A case FIR No. 37/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nowshera, and a detailed investigation is currently underway.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused was in direct contact with a Pakistan-based cross-border narco-terror operative, indicating a larger conspiracy aimed at destabilizing peace in the region. Officials believe further arrests and recoveries cannot be ruled out as the probe progresses.
Senior police officials described the operation as a major preventive action that thwarted potential terror activities in the area. Security has been further intensified across vulnerable pockets of Rajouri district.
The successful joint operation once again underscores the strong coordination between Rajouri Police and the Army in dismantling terror networks and safeguarding peace in the border region.
