PWD (R&B) JE suspended for dereliction of legitimate duties by DDC Rajouri.

— District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri has placed under suspension a Junior Engineer (JE) of PWD (R&B) department Rajouri allegedly for the dereliction of legitimate duties by showing nonseriousness toward his duties.
The PWD (R&B) department has taken in hand the execution work of repairing the potholes on Darhal-Chowkian road in Darhal tehsil.
The public of the area alleged that the department uses substandard material in the execution work & the work is not up to the quality/specification.
The people also alleged that the concerned JE namely Mohd Ashram, most of the time remains unavailable at the site during the execution for proper monitoring/quality check of the pothole works showing his non-seriousness/carelessness while performing his legitimate duties.
The people approached the office of the Deputy Commissioner alleging that without conforming to the standards, the JE concerned in a negligent manner has allowed the contractor to start the work of BT when the surface was not prepared well.
When the people brought the matter of sub-standard work to the notice of DDC, a preliminary inquiry was initiated & in the report its was established that JE concerned has failed to check the quality at the site.
Taking notice of the preliminary inquiry, DDC Rajesh Kumar Shavan has placed under suspension the concerned JE & initiated a further inquiry.
“Pending further inquiry into the matter JE, Mohd Ashram, PWD (R&B) Thanamandi sub-division is hereby placed under suspension. During the suspension, he will remain attached with the office of AEE, PWD (R&B) sub-division Kalakot. Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B) Rajouri shall depute another JE immediately to ensure the quality work” reads DDC order.
