Poonch Police Reunite West Bengal Youth With Family After Nine Years

POONCH, JUNE 15:- In a heartwarming humanitarian initiative, Poonch Police successfully reunited a youth with his family in West Bengal after nearly nine years of separation.
According to officials, the youth had arrived in Poonch around nine years ago and was unable to provide any information about his family or native place. Since then, efforts were underway to ascertain his identity and trace his relatives.

After sustained investigation, meticulous inquiries, and coordination with authorities across different states, police established his identity as Sudesh Pal Topno, son of Abhiram Topno, a resident of West Bengal.

Following verification of all necessary details, Poonch Police facilitated the reunion and formally handed over the youth to his parents. The emotional reunion marked the end of nearly a decade-long separation for the family.
The family expressed profound gratitude to Poonch Police for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment in tracing their son and ensuring his safe return home.

Police officials said the successful reunion reflects the force’s humanitarian approach and continued efforts to assist vulnerable individuals and reconnect families separated under difficult circumstances.
