Patwari suspended, inquiry initiated for demanding money for issuing documents.

RAJOURI JANUARY 08:— A Patwari in Rajouri district has been suspended and inquiry initiated against him allegedly for demanding money for issuing certificates etc.
On Friday a video was made viral on social media networks in which a Patwari of Panchayat Halqa, Sialsui in Kalakot tehsil has been shown accepting the money.
One Jahangir Ahmed in the viral video alleged that the Patwari demands Rs 1000/- for isduing a copy (Nakal) of land records, Rs 200/- for putting a stamp on the form etc.
Immediately after the video was made viral on the social media network, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, IAS vide his office order dated 7/1/2021 suspended Patwari and also initiated an inquiry into the allegations to be conducted by Sachin Dev Singh, Additional DC (headquarter).
“Pending enquiry into the allegations leveled in the viral video, (Patwari), PH Sialsui, tehsil Kalakot, is placed under suspension with immediate effect. He will hand over the record to the Tehsildar, Kalakot under proper receipt” DC order reads.
“The Additional DC (Head Quarter) Rajouri will conduct the enquiry into the allegations and submit a detailed report within a week time. During the suspension period, the said Patwari will remain attached with the office of Additional DC, Sunderbani” DC order further reads.
