Operation Jwala Culminates: Army Commander Visits Sundarbani Sector

RAJOURI FEBRUARY 22:-Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander of the Northern Command, visited the Sundarbani sector of Rajouri district following the successful culmination of Operation Jwala on Saturday, in which an infiltration attempt supported by the Pakistan Army was foiled in the Nathua Tibba area.

During the visit, the Army Commander was briefed by field officers on the sequence of events that led to the neutralization of the infiltration bid.

Officials explained how alert troops detected suspicious movement along the Line of Control and responded with swift and precise action, effectively preventing the terrorists from breaching the border.

The briefing also highlighted the subsequent search and clearance operations conducted in the area.

Troops recovered war-like stores, including weapons and ammunition, during the extensive combing operation launched after the encounter.

The Army Commander appreciated the professionalism and operational efficiency displayed by the soldiers.

Lieutenant General Sharma commended the troops for their timely and accurate response, emphasizing that such vigilance remains crucial in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

He praised the soldiers for their dedication, commitment, and unwavering resolve in ensuring a terrorism-free Jammu and Kashmir.

Reiterating the importance of sustained alertness, the Army Commander advised personnel to remain highly vigilant to thwart any future attempts by hostile elements. He stressed that proactive measures and preparedness are essential in countering infiltration and safeguarding national security.
