MP Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan, MLAs Meet Minister Javed Rana; Raise Key Public and Development Issues

SRINAGAR, JUNE 18:-Member of Parliament Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan, MLA Banihal Sajad Shaheen and MLA Chadoora Ali Mohammad Dar on Thursday called on Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, in separate meetings and discussed a range of public welfare, developmental and infrastructure-related issues.

During his meeting, MP Chowdhary Mohammad Ramzan held detailed discussions with the Minister on development priorities, governance-related matters and issues affecting the people. He highlighted several public welfare and developmental concerns requiring timely intervention and sought early resolution of the same.

MLA Chadoora Ali Mohammad Dar raised several constituency-specific issues, with particular emphasis on the urgent restoration of the irrigation canal at Madbal, Chadoora, which was damaged during last year’s floods. He informed the Minister that the canal is a vital source of irrigation for agricultural lands in villages including Doyan, Durbugh, Yarikalan, Checkpora, Buchroo and Wathoora. The MLA urged immediate restoration of the canal to ensure uninterrupted water supply for farmers during the ongoing agricultural season.

Apart from the irrigation issue, Ali Mohammad Dar also highlighted several matters related to public welfare, development and civic amenities across his constituency and sought their early redressal.

MLA Banihal Sajad Shaheen also apprised the Minister of various constituency-specific issues and requested his personal intervention to remove bottlenecks hindering the effective implementation of welfare schemes and developmental projects.
Minister Javed Ahmed Rana gave a patient hearing to all the issues raised and assured the public representatives that every genuine concern would be examined on priority. He reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing public grievances and ensuring timely resolution of developmental and essential service-related issues for the benefit of the people.
