SRINAGAR, JULY 15:– The FMCG Distributors and Manufacturers Association Kashmir (FMCGDMAK), Shehri Khaas Traders & Chambers, and the J&K Sales Welfare Association (JKSEWA) on Wednesday held a joint meeting in Srinagar to discuss key issues concerning trade, employment generation, and the overall economic development of Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, representatives of the three organizations held detailed deliberations on the prevailing market conditions, ease of doing business, challenges faced by traders, and measures required to strengthen the local business ecosystem. The participants also discussed issues affecting small and medium enterprises and stressed the need for creating a business-friendly environment to encourage entrepreneurship and sustainable economic growth.

The representatives highlighted several concerns being faced by traders, businessmen, and the youth, with discussions focusing on practical measures to address unemployment, promote self-employment, and improve coordination among stakeholders for the region’s socio-economic development.

The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with participants exchanging suggestions and recommendations on matters concerning trade and commerce. Representatives of all three organizations expressed satisfaction over the deliberations and reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding the interests of the business community while contributing to the overall welfare of society.

The associations unanimously resolved to work in close coordination to streamline trade-related activities, address genuine concerns of traders, and advocate for policies that promote business growth and economic prosperity. They also decided to hold similar meetings regularly to review progress and deliberate on emerging issues affecting the trade sector.
The meeting concluded with a collective pledge by FMCGDMAK, Shehri Khaas Traders & Chambers, and JKSEWA to continue working together for the welfare of traders, promotion of employment opportunities, and the socio-economic development of Jammu and Kashmir.
