Rajouri 24 May: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Mohammad Aijaz Asad today finalized the arrangements for Juma-Ul Vida, Shab-e-Qadar and Eid-ul-Fitr, here at a meeting held in his office chamber.
The chairman Auqaf and other ulmas who were present in the meeting raised some basic issues like cleanliness in around the Jamia masjid,market checking,fixation of prices , traffic regulation during the Friday prayers and uninterrupted power supply and drinking water supply during the rest of the Ramadan days and on the festival days.
Assistant Director Food and supplies, Tehsildar Rajouri and EO municipality Rajouri were directed to carry out the market checking at regular intervals.He also directed to take strict action against erring traders for not maintaining food safety norms. It should also be ensured that rate lists approved by the administration are displayed conspicuously inside the shops and the district administration will soon finalised the rates of essential commodities.
To ensure uninterrupted power supply and drinking water supply during the rest of the Ramadan,the Department of PDD and PHE were directed to ensure this in letter and spirit, to avoid any inconveniences to the public.Assistant Director Food and supplies was directed to release the ration well in advance before the Eid.
The Executive Officer ,Municipal Committee,Rajouri was directed to ensure proper lighting and cleanliness in and around the Mosques located in town particularly at Eidgah where Eid prayers would be offered.
Similarly, the Police and Traffic authorities were directed to ensure security around the Mosques and better traffic management in the town to avoid any inconvenience to the devotees.
The representative of different religious groups complimented the efforts of district administration for providing uninterrupted power and water supply during the holy month of Ramadan.
The follow up review meeting regarding the arrangements for Eid-Ul Fitr will be held towards end of the Holy month of Ramadan.
