JAMMU MARCH 27:-In a major crackdown, Jammu Police South Zone has successfully busted a job fraud–extortion racket, rescuing two victims and arresting five accused involved in the crime. During the operation, police also recovered ₹34 lakh believed to be linked to the fraudulent activities.
According to officials, the accused were operating a network that lured individuals with false promises of employment and later extorted money from them. Swift police action not only dismantled the racket but also ensured the safe rescue of the victims.
In a parallel development, police solved three separate theft cases, leading to the arrest of three more accused. Stolen gold and silver ornaments worth approximately ₹30 lakh were recovered during the investigation.
Authorities stated that further investigation is underway to uncover additional links and possible involvement of other individuals in both the fraud racket and theft cases.
