Indian Army and J&K Police Rescue Two Injured After Dumper Accident in Salotri Village

MENDHAR, JUNE 01:-Two persons sustained injuries after a dumper vehicle met with an accident in Salotri village of Sub Division Mendhar. The injured, identified as the driver and his helper, were promptly rescued and shifted to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar with the assistance of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and local residents.

According to initial reports, the accident occurred when the dumper reportedly suffered a brake failure, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle subsequently met with an accident, resulting in extensive damage to the dumper.

Soon after the incident, personnel of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured driver and helper were immediately evacuated from the accident site and transported to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar for medical treatment.

Sources said that both injured persons are presently out of danger and their condition is reported to be stable. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported in the incident.

In addition to the rescue efforts, the Indian Army deployed a crane to remove and reposition the damaged vehicle from the road. With the support of local residents, the road was subsequently cleared, restoring the smooth movement of traffic in the area.

Residents appreciated the swift response of the Indian Army and J&K Police, stating that their timely intervention played a crucial role in rescuing the injured and preventing further inconvenience to commuters. Locals also hailed the efforts of the Army personnel who not only assisted in evacuating the injured but also helped restore normal traffic movement by clearing the accident site.
