RAJOURI, SEPT 21:-During his hectic tour to Pir Panjal Region, Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed four largely attended rallies in favour of BJP candidates at Mendhar, Surankote (in Poonch district) and Thanamandi & Rajouri (in Rajouri district).
At all the places Amit Shah lambasted the National Conference (NC), Congress and People Democratic Party (PDP)- three families- and made them responsible for perpetuating terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir since 1990 and made
them responsible for the killings of about 40000 people.
Murtaza Khan is BJP candidate from Mendhar Constituency, Mushtaq Bukhari from Surankot constituency, Mohd Iqbal Malik from newly created Thanamandi (in Rajouri) constituency, and Vibodh Gupta is from Rajouri constituency.
Entire country is proud of Gujjar, Bakarwal and Pahari brothers who always stood as soldiers for the country whenever there was war with Pakistan.
Amit Shah appealed to the people of this region to join hands with PM Narendra Modi to protect the country.
Amit Shah said: “The people of Rajouri-Poonch districts have faced frequent ceasefire violations (CFVs) from the Pakistan side. The days of cross-border firing are over. There was a time when people in power in J&K were afraid of Pakistan & now the situation has completely changed. Pakistan is now afraid of PM Modi. If bullets are fired from across LoC, it will not be responded with ‘Boli’ but with shells,”.
Amit Shah added some NC leaders claim that the NC flag is red because there is terrorism in J&K.
These parties instead of laptops give guns in the hands of our youth.
“We will also provide guns to youths of this border area by holding a special recruitment drive for Security Forces/Army for the security of the country.
Home Minister, Amit Shah categorically denied talk with Pakistan, as J&K parties demand, and said: “No talk will be held with Pakistan till terrorism is not stopped. Rather we will talk to the youth of J&K especially from Rajouri & Poonch.
“Had elections for Gram Sabha, Panchayts, BDC, & DDC been taken during the regime of NC & Congress. It became possible only after 2014 when PM Modi came to power,” said Amit Shah.
He added Farooq Abdullah & Mufti Family did nothing for the protection for people of the state and forty thousand innocent people were killed during militancy.
Pahari ethnic group can become collectors, district SPs & take admissions in MBBS/Engineering colleges as the right was granted by the constitution.
Omar Abdullah & Rahul Gandhi (during a recent visit to the USA) said that they will review the quota.
“No power on earth can reverse reservation for Paharis till BJP is in Power. Instead, we will extend the quota for reservation in promotions,” said Amit Shah.
Shah said that they will provide laptops/tablets to higher secondary school level children.
He added, if came to power in J&K, we will give Rs 18000 annually to the eldest woman of the family, two LPG cylinders free on festivals, farmers will get Rs10000 instead of Rs 6000, electric power tariff will be reduced to half with 500 units free.
He also said that two Tourist Cities on the pattern of Phalgam will be developed (in Rajouri-Poonch) as the area has been neglected for 75 years by the successive governments as for as tourism is concerned despite huge tourism potential in both the
“Out of two tourist cities developed in Rajouri-Poonch districts, Budhal would be one among them,” said Amit Shah.
National Highway 144A is under widening from Jammu to Poonch and the tunnels were constructed keeping in mind the future railway line project between Jammu & Poonch and soon the project will be implemented.
As far as Rajouri is concerned, we have given medical college at Rajouri, serving people of Poonch Rajouri & Reasi districts, nursing college, and infrastructure of good roads to save people’s time etc.
Home Minister Amit Shah appealed to the people of Surankote, Medhar, Thanamandi,& Rajouri to vote in favour of BJP candidates and assure that PM Modi government will leave no stone unturned for the development of these two districts.
