Gross violation of Govt order; ZEO Kotranka sought explanation from 10 schools.

*Few schools recognised for 5th & 8th standard found operating 9th & 10th classes.

RAJOURI NOV 25:-Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Kotranka in Rajouri district (vide order No. ZEOK/2226-36 dt 25/11/2024) have sought explanation from 10 Private Institutions for violation of government order.
It is pertinent to mention here that few areas of Kotranka subdivision fall in ‘winter zone’ of Jammu Division.
Director School Education Jammu has issued an order for a uniform date sheet for Summative Assessment from classes 1st to 9th from November 25 for all the government and private recognised schools of Jammu Division.
To assess whether the private institutions implementing the Director’s order, ZEO Kotranka visited various private schools (under winter zone) and found 10 schools violating the order.
ZEO also found that few schools have preponed the examination dates and completed the process ahead of schedule.
To the surprise of ZEO few schools were found operating 9th & 10th classes illegally as these schools were recognised only up to 5th or 8th standard.
The report of such schools has been submitted to Chief Education Officer Rajouri by the ZEO for further action.
The explanation order (dt 25/11/2024) issued to the administrations of these 10 schools by the ZEO read: “You are hereby directed to explain your position tomorrow. Failure to do so will be taken as a sign that you have no defence, and matter will be escalated to higher authorities for further action under rules”.
