Govt. Degree College is exigency of Block Moghla: AJKYF

Kalakote, August 01: “Government Degree College is exigency of Block Moghla” said Mr. Nakul Sharma, Spokesperson, All J&K Youth Federation ( AJKYF) while demanding ratification of Govt. Degree College at Block Moghla in a press statement issued here today.

Mr. Sharma while expressing serious concern over the lack of higher education facilities in the area said that there is no other Government Degree College to educate thousands of student of Moghla Block and adjoining areas, whereas Block Moghla will be the central located place for all the adjoining villages in the stretch of about 110 Km from Kalakote to Reasi covering almost 50,000 pax of population prescribing all the norms obligatory for Government Degree College in the area. This region hitherto lacks the requisite primary and secondary scholastic conservatory besides lowering down the grades and merits of the students of the regions as they have to hasten far away to assimilate and pursue pedagogic degrees and courses which not economically apt for the students as they belong to the weaker section of the society.

Mr. Sharma highlighted that people of the area are on sitting on strike from last 21 days because of which whole market remained close and the shopkeepers are suffering from a huge loss which is directly affecting the local economy.

Mr. Sharma also highlighted that various delegations with regard to the cause have approached the government authorities but no earmark step has been taken by the authorities till date.

Mr. Sharma urged upon the State Governor, Shri S.P.Malik to intervene into the matter and scrutinize the genuine demand of the local public as soon as possible.
