Government callous attitude towards Gujjar Bakarwal community and students of the [poor GB] community is agonizing. Advocate Akram

Community is having high hope from the present regime regarding unheard issues and long pending demand since long.

Hostels of Gujjar bakarwal must be free from corruption and The appointment of Wardens, Assistant Wardens and teachers must be from the same district, inter district appointment must be immediately stopped. Mohd Akram advocate

Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakarwal youth welfare conference General Secretary Advocate Mohammad Akram today moved a press release to media ,in which he said that In order to have focused attention towards the Development of Gujjar Bakarwal Community, we have moved number of representation to present government regarding long pending demand of streamlining of hostels of Gujjar Bakarwal in jammu and Kashmir but till date no one paid heed towards our issue .

That the hostels students need special care and attention of government so that the politics over it get ceased and children of community get good chance to complete education with meritorious marked .

He said that those retained the positions of wardens and assistant wardens since years must be removed and new people must be placed as per norms and merit required .

During the past decade, every rule and procedure was thrown to winds and due to it the standard of education in these welfare institutions is sliding down constantly. keeping in view we moved no of representation and application to the government for redressel of our grievances.

That number of times students highlighted the issue But unfortunately the person having hegemonies succeed to legitimatize their stand and due to reluctant and callous attitude of the concerned authorities demands still unmeet, from few months the demand for streaming the educational institutions with intention to get rid from the dead existing structure raised as its grave concern for them because in Jammu and Kashmir there are more then 25lacs population of the community and most of them are under privilege having no scope to get impart good education to them, so the Hostels are only source of imparting education to them .

He said that due to prevailing situation of covid 19 and lockdown students not getting class physically and their education is but the education department initiative of online classes is applaud able but the hostel inmates are mostly belongs to far flung areas and from the poor families so smart phones facility is not privilege for them and even those manage to get the gadget but due to lacking feasibility it it is tough to get online classes so for as the students of the community is concerned they need extra cafre and attention as they are underprivileged .

We need hostels work accordingly the norms and guidelines so that proper education should be imparted to students , and for that Each Hostel should have an individual Website and prospectus. Admission Dates, Results of students, Criteria of admissions, Selection lists, Upcoming events for students etc to be displayed on that website.they must start annual magazine kept the achievements in public domain.

Government is requested to constitute a 10 member committee of highly reputed Academicians, Administrators, Social Activists and Gujjar Bakerwal Hostels Alumni preferably from Gujjar Bakerwal community for suggesting ways and means/guidelines for restoring the glory of Gujjar Bakerwal Hostels. And only native district wardens should be preferred for appointed , only students from the concerned district should be preferred for admission . as demand hostels accordingly “apna zilla , apna hostel ,apna bacha’’ .
