Rajouri October 02:–In order to pay homage to Father of Nation, Mahatama Gandhi and to take forward the efforts of cleanliness, the Jammu and Kashmir police in Rajouri organised series of cleanliness events across the district on Saturday.
At all police establishments across the district that include police posts, police stations and sub division offices, pledge events were held wherein the office staff pledged to remain devoted towards cleanliness and hygiene on both personal and community level.
A special pledge ceremony was also organised at District Police Office Rajouri in which entire staff of office took part.
On the other hand, special police teams were constituted at police stations and police posts level and members of these teams launched cleanliness drives at public places including hospitals, busy roads, chowks.
The police personnel besides cleaning these areas also made people aware about benefits of hygiene and cleanliness and efforts of Government to pay homage to Father of National through ‘Swach Bharat’.
SP Rajouri, Ms. Sheema Nabi Qasba appealed all the people of Rajouri to remain committed towards their responsibility of cleanliness of society.
