Flag hoisted upside down, CEO attaches PEM & PET, explanation from school head

Rajouri August 17 :– Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has attached Physical Education Master (PEM) and Physical Education Teacher (PET) and also sought explanation from In-Charge Head Master of for hoisting National Flag upside down in Government Girls High school at Lamberi during Independence Day celebrations
Ch.Gulzar Hussain has also initiated an inquiry in this matter which will be conducted by Ashok Kumar Sharma and Pushap Kumar Sharma, Principals of higher secondary schools Nowshera and Lamberi respectively and directed to furnish the report along with their comments within three days.
The matter came to light when a video of the ‘upside down flag’ went viral on the social media network and Deputy Commissioner took the matter seriously.
The Government of India has framed Flag Code (set laws for National Flag) in 2002 and is divided into three parts, of which the part II of the code is devoted to the display of the National Flag by the Education Institutions.
The CEO order reads, whereas reports/ viral video clearly indicates a violation of the Flag Code by the management of the government girls’ high school, Lamberi by hoisting the National Flag upside downward.
“The In-Charge head, PEM (Pardeep Kumar) and PET (Suresh Kumar) are liable to be punished strictly for such an offense at their part” the report said.
Pardeep Kumar and Suresh Kumar have been attached with the office of the District Youth Services and Sports Officer with immediate effect.
