RAJOURI, JULY 15:-Senior PDP leader Mohammad Farooq Inqlabi has strongly demanded the immediate installation of W-Beam crash barriers at Sangreli Dandote and other accident-prone stretches along the Budhal–Mahore road to prevent further loss of lives.
Expressing profound grief over the tragic death of young Gagandeep Singh, who lost his life in a road accident at Sangreli Dandote in Budhal on Tuesday, Inqlabi said the incident has once again exposed the lack of adequate road safety infrastructure on the route.
He stated that the absence of crash barriers at the accident site turned what could have been a survivable accident into a fatal tragedy.
“If W-Beam crash barriers had been installed at this vulnerable stretch, this precious life might have been saved. The authorities cannot wait for more innocent lives to be lost before taking preventive measures,” Inqlabi said.
He urged the officers of 110 RCC GREF, Budhal, to immediately identify all accident-prone and vulnerable locations on the Budhal–Mahore road and ensure the installation of W-Beam crash barriers without further delay. He also called for the installation of proper warning signboards, reflectors, and other essential road safety measures to reduce the risk of accidents.
Emphasizing that the safety of commuters is a collective responsibility, Inqlabi appealed to the concerned authorities to take immediate action to strengthen road safety infrastructure and prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
