DSEJ Directs Schools to Stay Ready for Online Classes During Emergencies

JAMMU, JULY 25:-The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has directed all government schools across the Jammu Division to remain fully prepared for a temporary shift to online classes whenever physical classes are suspended due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, emergencies, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

The Directorate has instructed schools to ensure a seamless transition through hybrid learning arrangements so that students’ education continues without interruption. School heads have been asked to keep digital teaching resources ready, maintain updated contact details of students, and ensure effective communication with parents regarding any change in the mode of instruction.

The move comes in the wake of recurring disruptions caused by heavy rains, flash floods, landslides, snowfall, and other emergency situations that often force the closure of educational institutions in several districts of Jammu Division.

DSEJ has also emphasized that teachers should remain prepared to conduct online classes using available digital platforms, while schools should make necessary arrangements to facilitate remote learning wherever required. The Directorate stressed that continuity of education remains a top priority and that all institutions must be ready to implement the online teaching mechanism at short notice.
The initiative is expected to minimize academic loss and ensure that students continue their studies safely during periods when attending schools physically is not feasible.
