Doctors at Rajouri demands FIR under DMA against rumour mongers.

Rajouri June 09 :–Doctors Association GMC Rajouri and Rajouri unit of Doctors Association Jammu (DAJ) have approached the Principal, GMC&AH to lodge FIR under the Disaster Management Act (DMA) against News Portal and those continuously spreading fake information against the doctors and the functioning in the hospital.
The Principal today has forward the written complaint of the doctors in original to Deputy Commissioner and SSP Rajouri for further needful action in this matter.
After continuous deaths of the Covid Patients in the GMC&AH due to their critical conditions, a News Portal in nexus with a social activist and family members of a victim had alleged that the deaths have been taking place due to shortage of medical oxygen.
The shortage of medical Oxygen in the GMC&AH was categorically denied by BM Gupta, Principal, and Dr, Mehmood Bajar, Medical Superintendent.
Reportedly to settle their personal scores the so-called social activist/family members have also alleged that senior doctors and Medical Superintendent also skipping to attend the Covid patients.
Doctors alleged that a social activist Waqar Bhatti with the help of JK Link news spreading fake information through social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter).
Initially they were spreading fake information about the shortage of oxygen in GMC&AH as a reason for the increased mortality of the patients that has created fear & psychosis among the masses, alleged doctors.
Later they spread misinformation about the vaccination drive and now, during a live Facebook session on June 8m at 10.30 pm they targeted the doctors, defamed, harassed, and threatened them individually who continuously and tirelessly serving Covid and non-Covid patients.
Doctors have appealed to the Principal to lodge FIR within 24 hours, otherwise they will proceed for the next course of action.
When asked, Station House Officer Rajouri said that he has yet not received the written complaint.
