Rajouri,June,01: In order to resolve the issues impeding the construction of additional 200 bedded block at GMC&AH, District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today visited the GMC &AH along with the concerned officers.
The DDC was accompanied by Dr.Mehmood Hussain Bajar,EXN PWD,Mohd Zubair,EXN EM& RE,Munshi Khan and other engineers of both PWD and PDD department.
The DDC was apprised that the work on construction the additional 200 bedded block which will further augment the District hospital capacity to 500 has been halted due to certain issues.
The estimated cost for Construction of the said project is 30 crores including addition and alteration of the present block.It Was also informed that for the construction of the additional block there is immediate need to shift the biomedical plant , mortuary and 6 number of feeder power lines.It was also informed that the sites for the shiftings has been already identified.
After visit at the site DDC resolved all issues related to utility shifting and directed the concerned engineers for shifting of the mortuary and feeder lines of power development Department at the identified sites so that the work could be started. Having taken a decision on inter departmental issues DDC asked the executing agency to mobilise the men and machinery immediately to start the work in full swing without any delay.
Moreover DDC also reviewed the progress on the opening of counters for the Registration of the patients and directed the concerned officers to make them functional by next week.The opening of new counters for getting the Registration slips will mitigate the patients sufferings. The decision of opening of new registration counters was taken up during the surprise inspection of GMC & AH by DDC Rajouri.
