RAJOURI NOV 11:-In preparation for the upcoming SSB (Service Selection Board) examinations scheduled on December 1st, 8th, and 22nd, 2024, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess and finalize arrangements. The meeting aimed to ensure that all logistical, administrative, and security measures are in place for the seamless conduct of exams.

During the briefing, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Rajouri, Rajiv Khajuria, informed the Deputy Commissioner that around 16,000 candidates are expected to appear for the exams across various designated centers in the district. He assured that critical arrangements, including the identification of centers and appointment of superintendents, are already in place.

DC Rajouri emphasized the importance of strict adherence to examination protocols, highlighting several key measures for smooth and fair exam conduct.
He instructed that comprehensive roll number verification protocols be established. Videography at examination centers was mandated to maintain transparency and deter any malpractices.

To assist candidates, help desks will be set up at all centers to guide and address any queries of candidates on the day of the exams.

The Deputy Commissioner directed that exam centers must have proper lighting and ventilation arrangements to ensure candidates’ comfort. Adequate provision for storing candidates’ belongings must be arranged, and special attention should be given to maintaining clean and accessible washrooms.

The DC underlined that all superintendents and observers should be thoroughly trained according to the guidelines issued by the SSB. Observers are expected to inspect their respective exam centers a day before the scheduled examination to confirm readiness.

The Traffic Department, along with the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), was directed to ensure smooth traffic flow on the exam days to prevent congestion near exam centers. Additionally, appropriate signages must be installed around the centers to facilitate easy navigation for candidates.
