DC Rajouri interacts with the children in need of care and protection ;Assures all possible measures to safeguard and promote their welfare

Sanctions sponsorship of Rs 14.04 lacs in favour of 44 children under ICPS

RAJOURI, JULY 17: –The Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Rajesh K Shavan today interacted with the children of the district who are in need of care and protection.

While interacting with the children, the Deputy Commissioner said that the District Administration Rajouri is making concerted efforts to ensure the wellbeing of such children in the society and all possible steps are being taken to ensure that they are given the appropriate support to enable them to safeguard and promote their welfare.

The Deputy Commissioner also sanctioned sponsorship amounting Rs 14.04 lacs in favour of children who are in need of care and protection under Integrated Child Protection Scheme. The financial assistance sanctioned in favour of 44 children with 32000 to each.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that the District Administration will adopt one child namely Anjali who is completely blind and asked the District Social Welfare Officer to get the child checked by an Ophthalmologist and added that the expense for the eye treatment of the child would be borne by the District Administration.

Among the others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh and DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt were present on the occasion.
